RCV PC tail guides provide a stable interface around connector tails to help prevent bending, maintain pin alignment, and simplify handling during assembly and integration. Hole patterns and geometry can be tailored to the connector arrangement and application.
CONNECTOR ALIGNMENT DISCS & GUIDES
PC-tail alignment guides—also called alignment discs—support extended connector contacts so the tails remain positioned in the correct pattern during handling and printed-circuit-board installation. The guide helps reduce bent contacts, crossed tails, and alignment problems before the connector reaches the board.
RCV tailors the outside profile, contact-hole pattern, spacing, thickness, orientation features, and tail support to the connector arrangement. Guides can be developed for circular and application-specific interfaces used in aerospace, defense, and other high-reliability electronic assemblies.
It supports and aligns extended connector contacts, helping protect them from bending and preserving the pattern needed for board installation.
The terms are often used for the same type of component: a shaped guide that maintains the PC-tail contact pattern behind a connector.
Yes. RCV can tailor the contact pattern, spacing, thickness, profile, and orientation features to the connector and board interface.
